Our “Know your instrument” Project is an on-going project to document and create an environment for the new generation to learn endangered Nepali instruments. Currently, Night has completed three mini-documentaries based on “Mahali”, “Paluwa” and “Kastar, Chatkauli and Pilrhu” in one episode. We are also working on more episodes based on the lost and endangered instruments. In addition, we have been setting aside a percentage of the proceeds from our shows to fund students interested in learning ‘mahali’ and ‘paluwa’. So far, we have funded 3 students. We are also collaborating with other Nepali Bands in this initiative. “Topi” has already produced the episode on one episode and we have been in talks with numerous other bands who have expressed interest in the project.
